Mission
To strengthen morale and connection for U.S. military service members serving away from home by providing practical care packages and messages of support.
About our organization
Good To Go Care Boxes is a Doylestown-based, volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports U.S. military service members serving away from home.
Our story
The organization grew from a local military family’s desire to support a loved one serving in the Marines—and other service members facing the same distance from home.
What began as a personal act of care became a community effort. Neighbors, volunteers, youth groups, local organizations, and businesses helped collect useful goods, prepare packages, write notes, and support shipping.
Good To Go Care Boxes was established as a nonprofit organization in 2016. The mission remains direct: deliver useful supplies and human encouragement to service members during deployment and other periods away from home.
Mission and public benefit
To strengthen morale and connection for U.S. military service members serving away from home by providing practical care packages and messages of support.
Our charitable work serves military personnel without operating for private profit. Community support is directed toward care-package goods, packing materials, postage, and program delivery.
We are volunteer-run and rely on donated goods, community participation, partnerships, and financial support to carry out the mission.
What goes into a box
Box contents vary with current needs and shipping requirements. Typical categories include shelf-stable snacks, hygiene essentials, comfort items, birthday items, and handwritten messages.
We avoid presenting a fixed list because service-member needs, postal requirements, and available donations change. Groups planning a collection drive should contact the organization first for current guidance.
